Goldsboro is located in Eastern North Carolina and is the seat of Wayne County. Located approximately 50 miles southeast of Raleigh and about 75 miles west of the Atlantic Ocean, Goldsboro offers a great place to live for those wanting to escape big-city traffic while being close to the recreational activities afforded by the ocean and intracoastal waterways.
Goldsboro plays a key role and is a strong supporter of our military and national defense initiatives and is proud to be called home for Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Seymour Johnson is the home to the 4th Fighter Wing and the 916th Air Refueling Wing, both of which continue to receive top honors from the Air Force on both their successes and support for the local community.
Come see for yourself what Goldsboro has to offer. For more information on our community, be sure to visit the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce website.
